In our second Florida campground tonight, Suwannee River Hideaway Campground. They have a cool boardwalk out to the river where campers can fish. I like it, except for the bathrooms. They’re like most state campground bathrooms, cement block building, but no paper towels or hand dryers. I don’t get that.
We were at a new place on the gulf the previous two nights, Coastline RV Resort. The bathrooms were the best so far. Smaller than the Vines, but better. We drove over to St. George Island when we got there. Weather wasn’t very nice, gray and windy the first day. Rainy the second. Sunny but cooler this morning when we left.
We went to an oyster place a couple times (Lynn’s Quality Oysters), and another little restaurant that we liked (Red Pirate Family Grill). I really liked the area. Oyster shells everywhere. Very laid back vibe. We talked to another RVing couple briefly at the oyster place. It’s good to talk to other full-timers to get a dose of affirmation.
We’ll be in Hudson Sunday, at my aunt Stacey’s for the Super Bowl. I hope I can get a pedicure before the rally in Seffner. The kids need haircuts.
So, something happened to me the other night. I was hit by how blessed I am. How great this trip is. I’ve actually felt the love from Anne when she hugs me. And she keeps hugging me. Constantly. I hope it continues.
