It’s Saturday morning and I’m sitting at home. I made lemon scones and sausage for breakfast. Someone else is making and selling donuts downtown Moscow today. It’s not bothering me as much as I may have expected. Of course the new owners aren’t doing things exactly as I did. They need to figure out their own methods.
I got a bit teary-eyed when I posted my plans on Facebook Sunday night. I wrote it like a breakup letter. A few customers came in Wednesday and Thursday to say goodbye. There were many nice comments and well wishes. It was sweet. I felt very appreciated. They made me feel quite appreciated.
With the new owners’ payment Thursday we were able to pay off a couple credit cards and put a down payment on the RV we want. This was the first step in our plan.
We did it. Now I have to focus my time and energy on getting the house ready to sell. That means removing 90% of everything from each room.
Here’s to the rest going just as easily as the sale of the shop!
